Moss, Rose & Shadow
Moss, Rose & Shadow is a landscape held loosely between memory and light. Bold strokes of blue anchor the composition like deep water or dusk sky, while ochre moves through in warm, weathered passages — sun-worn stone, late-summer grass, the color of things that have been outside a long time. Red enters sparingly but insistently, blooming through the surface like roses caught in peripheral vision, never quite in focus.
The wispy, gestural marks throughout suggest growth and dissolve at once: moss creeping along an unseen edge, petals scattering, shadows lengthening across water that won't stay still. Nothing in the piece is literal — there's no horizon to orient you, no single vantage point — but the layered brushwork creates a sense of depth you can fall into, as though you're looking down through water at something half-remembered rather than looking out at a view.
24x30x1.5” acrylic on canvas
A matte UV finish ensures the color stays vibrant for years to come.
Professional-grade, archival substrate and media
Comes in a 2.5” white contemporary floater frame.
